CPA Oath Ceremony
The Board of Accountancy and the S.C. Association of CPAs (SCACPA) partnered to host the first Bi-Annual New CPA Oath Ceremony at The Radisson Columbia Hotel and Conference Center on Friday, November 9, 2007. The Oath Ceremony was held in conjunction with SCACPA's 2007 annual meeting. Newly licensed CPAs were on hand to affirm an oath statement led by J. Patrick McDermott, President, South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and Donald H. Burkett, South Carolina Board of Accountancy Chair, and to receive their original CPA Certificate. The next Oath Ceremony will be during the SCACPA Sponsored S.C. State House event on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. It is anticipated that sometime in the future, all newly licensed CPAs will receive their certificates at these events.
Instructions for Licensee Look-Up
When using the Licensee Look-up on our Web site, remember to keep it simple. Enter only a few letters of the name you want to look-up in the Last/Firm Name field. Leave the First Name and License Number fields blank. You will have a better chance of finding the person or firm you are looking for. You may want to enter a City or change the License Type drop down box to narrow the scope of your search. Once you locate the licensee or firm you are looking for, then click on the blue License # to the left of the information to find the address or other data.
Is it The South Carolina Board of Accountancy or The South Carolina Association of CSPAS (SCACPA)?
During renewal season, many licensees confuse the Board of Accountancy with SCACPA. Both organizations have the same expiration period, December 31. Remember this, the renewal fees for your individual license is $80 and your Firm Registration is $50. You can identify our renewal information by the LLR logo shown here.
