LLR Mission Statement
The mission of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) is to promote the health, safety and economic well-being of the public through regulation, licensing, enforcement, training and education. Our mission goes hand-in-hand with the Governor's effort to raise personal incomes of South Carolinians by creating a better environment for economic growth, delivering government services more openly and efficiently, improving quality of life, and improving our state's education. LLR now has:
- The Division of Professional and Occupational Licensing
- The Division of Fire and Life Safety, which includes the Office of State Fire Marshal and the S.C. Fire Academy
- The Division of Labor, which includes Elevator and Amusement Rides, Labor Services, Labor-Management Mediation, Migrant Labor, Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA), and OSHA Voluntary Programs (OVP)
- The Division of Administration
- The Division of Legal Services
- The Office of Immigrant Worker Compliance
The South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation is located at 110 Centerview Drive in Columbia, S.C. Offices are open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Offices will be closed on the following dates:
