It is time to renew your license with the Cosmetology Board for 2011-2013

LLR encourages the use of its online licensing services to issue licenses as quickly as possible to our clients. Starting May 15, 2011, a $25 service fee will be instituted for licensing services done in person rather than online.

Cosmetologists, Nail Technicians and Estheticians will be able to renew their license online at https://renewals.llronline.com until March 10, 2011. Online renewal is available anytime of the day or night. Pocket cards will be mailed within 48 hours of processing.

New Cosmetology Regulations Chapter 35 (effective June 25, 2010)

New regulations for the Board of Cosmetology (Document No. 4075) became final by publication in the South Carolina State Register on June 25, 2010. Regulation 35-1(G) as published requires that each school submit a surety bond in the amount of $50,000 in order to be licensed. THIS AMOUNT IS NOT REQUIRED BY LAW. South Carolina statutes require that a school submit a surety bond in the amount of $10,000 in order to be licensed. A statute cannot be changed by regulation. APPLICATIONS FOR LICENSING OF SCHOOLS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A BOND IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000.
