Required Coursework for LISW CP/AP Applicants

Under the auspicious of the SCNASW, South Carolina Social Work Education Programs have been actively working to improve both social work practice and education in our state. In response to the needs of the recent changes in the South Carolina Social Work Licensure requirements the Social Work educators have formed the South Carolina Consortium of Social Work Educators (SCCSWE). The Consortium represents all of the social work education programs in South Carolina. These include: Benedict College, Coker College, Columbia College, Limestone College, S.C. State University, College of Social Work, University of South Carolina, and Winthrop University.

The Continuing Education Program of the College of Social Work - USC will coordinate the efforts of consortium members to provide the required Social Work Educational Contact hours for both LISW applicants and LISW supervisors in the following areas are available:

Social Work Ethics - 15 academic contact hour course
Psychopathology - 45 academic contact hour course
Psycho-diagnostics - 45 academic contact hour course
Social Work Supervision - 45 academic contact hour course
