Message To LLR Stakeholders About Regulatory Review Process
License Renewal for Opticians and Contact Lens Dispensers
License renewal requirements for Opticians and Contact Lens Dispensers are due by October 1 of odd numbered years.
A complete renewal must include all of the following:

Continuing Education Credit - Submit proof of CE only if requested by Board:

Eight hours (for opticians)

Two additional hours if the optician has a contact lens dispensing license

Complete online renewal process
A late fee of $25 per license will be charged after October 1.
All licenses automatically lapse after a 30 day late period, but can be reinstated within a two year period by submitting a $50 fee per license, all back fees, and all continuing education hours by permission from the Board.
