Important Notices:

Renewal for the South Carolina State Board of Nursing licensees ended at midnight on April 30, 2012. All nursing licenses not renewed by this time are considered lapsed. It is illegal for a nurse to practice on a lapsed license.

All nurses who have not renewed their nursing license by midnight, April 30, 2012 will be issued a Notice to Cease and Desist by the South Carolina Board of Nursing. The continued practice of nursing in South Carolina without an active license may violate the Notice to Cease and Desist.

Online Reinstatement for the renewal period ending April 30, 2012 is available.

Criminal Background Checks

After March 19, 2012, the cost for conducting the required licensure application criminal history background check will change to $51.50. The applications are currently being revised to reflect this change.

Attention LLR Customers

LLR encourages the use of its online licensing services to issue licenses as quickly as possible to our clients. Starting May 15, 2011, a $25 service fee will be instituted for licensing services done in person rather than online.
