POLICY:

At its July 15-17, 1996 Board meeting, the Board adopted the following policy regarding the definition of "actual consultation" as referred to in S.C. Code 40-47-240:

Actual consultation involves teaching or advice to licensed physicians only and does not include prescribing, treating, operating on, or in any other way, managing the health care of a specific patient.
