ANESTHESIOLOGIST’S ASSISTANT LICENSES OFFERED AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS; LICENSE APPLICATION FORM

The following are the basic requirements for obtaining licensure to practice as an Anesthesiologist’s Assistant.Applicants should consult the South Carolina Medical Practice Act to obtain the detailed requirements.

Permanent Licensure Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited degree program for Anesthesiologist’s Assistants

  • Current National Commission on Certification of Anesthesiologist's Assistants, Inc. (NCCAA)

Temporary Licensure Requirements

In order to obtain a temporary license, you must have a completed permanent application on file with the Board office and you and your sponsoring anesthesiologist must have a personal (face to face) interview with a member of the Board.
