Reciprocity

The South Carolina Board of Funeral Service may issue a license for funeral directing or embalming to any person who furnishes with his/her application satisfactory proof that he has been licensed by examination in another state, requiring a degree of competence equal to that required of an applicant in the state of South Carolina at the time of applicant's licensure. The applicant must also successfully complete the state law exam and submit the appropriate fees.
