A license issued under this chapter is valid from July 1st of the year issued or from the date issued, whichever is later, through the following June 30th unless revoked or suspended pursuant to this chapter or a regulation promulgated under this chapter.

If the license has not been renewed for a period of five years or more, you will be required to pay the renewal fee for each year plus a one time penalty and take the national exam. If it has been less than five years, you are required to get three (3) CE hours for each year not renewed, pay a renewal fee for each year plus a one time penalty and appear before the South Carolina Board of Funeral Service for reinstatement.
