How to File a Complaint

Filing a Complaint

What types of complaints can I file and how do I file them?

Allegations of misconduct, fraud, deceit, gross negligence and incompetence, unless dismissed by the board as unfounded, trivial, or otherwise without merit, are investigated to determine whether or not a hearing is warranted.

Fee disputes and contractual disputes between registrant and client are civil matters and generally do not fall within the jurisdiction of this board.

Complaints may be filed against licensed individuals and/or firms by completing a "Complaint Form" to this board specifying the allegations(s) and including copies of supporting documents and/or other evidence.

The name, address and telephone number of the complainant is requested. Complaints may be resolved with a formal disciplinary action or informally with appropriate counsel. All parties are notified of final dispositions.
