Deadline for Applying for Surveyors License with a two-year degree
After July 1, 2010, surveyors applying for licensure by examination in South Carolina will be required to have a 4-year degree. However, until June 30, 2010, applicants with a two-year degree may still apply to take the exam. Applicants must have satisfied the education and experience requirements and must have submitted a complete application to this Board by 6/30/2010 in order to be eligible to take the exam. If an applicant meets the above requirements and is approved by the Board, he/she may take the exam AFTER that deadline and may continue to take the exam according to previously set rules regarding frequency of exams taken (e.g., the applicant might need to do further study after two or more failing grades). All requirements must have been completed by June 30, 2010.
This clarifies that applicants may take the exam after the deadline if they meet ALL requirements by the deadline AND they have submitted a complete application to the Board.
