Four-year Surveyor Curriculum at Clemson University Meet Licensure Requirements
In November 2008, the Board approved a Bachelor of Science curriculum offered by Clemson University as meeting licensure requirements for Surveyors in South Carolina. Beginning July 1, 2010, surveyor licensure requires graduation from a college of four or more years with a board-approved degree, an ABET accredited curriculum in a related field, or a substantially equivalent program for licensure. Until now, there has been no such degree program in South Carolina. Clemson’s Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resource Management with a Land Surveying Emphasis will meet the requirement and has been approved by the Board.
