Approved at 1/15/2002 Board Meeting:

For Psychopathology and Diagnostics Requirements set by the new Regulations, the followng USC programs have been approved: all formats are transcripted and are 45 contact hours or 3 semester hour graduate level courses. They will be offering more of them in other cities within S.C., provided the group is large enough to justify traveling. Courses are NPSY-757 and NPSY-758.

  • #1-Distance Education-(on-line) meeting in person 1 time only on Friday, 1/18/02

  • #2-4 condensed weekends (taught in person; meeting for the first class on 1/19/02.

  • #3-Special format for professionals already working in the field, taught on Mondays for NPSY-757 and Wednesdays for NPSY-758.

  • #4-USC is also negotiating a contract with Dept of Mental Health to teach courses to DMH employees at reduced tuition rate. Courses will have a PD in front of the NPSY course name to indicate that it was a professional development course.
