Board Purpose
The mission of the Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists is public protection. This is accomplished by licensing qualified professionals. The Board provides licenses for professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and psycho-educational specialists who have received appropriate education, experience and have passed prerequisite examinations. The Board investigates complaints and takes disciplinary action as appropriate.
