Continuing Education Requirements

As a prerequisite for biennial renewal of a practitioner’s license, the licensee must complete a minimum of thirty-six (36) hours biennially of accepted professional continuing education. Of the 36 required hours of continuing education, two hours are required in the rules and regulations of the S.C. Board of Chiropractic Examiners and two hours in risk management which includes, but is not limited to, boundary or public health issues. The purpose of this change is to better protect the public.

All licensees are required to renew their license ONLINE. The next renewal deadline is September 30, 2012 for this biennial renewal period. 

The risk management credits are available from a variety of sources. The Rules and Regulations are available on the Chiropractic Board website.
