License Renewal Requirements/Reinstatement

Barber licenses expire on June 30th of each year. Renewal notices are mailed to those who are currently licensed on or around the first of May. Renewals must be in this office or at least postmarked by June 30th in order to avoid paying any required late fees.

If a person’s license is not current, but has not allowed a three year period to pass, they may renew their license by paying the applicable late fee.

If a person has allowed their registered/master barber license to expire over three years, it would be necessary for them to take the practical portion of the examination.
