Reciprocity
For persons currently licensed and working in another state as a barber, they may qualify to become licensed by submitting the required application, two notarized statements from two registered or master barbers from the state they are coming from which indicates that they know the applicant has been working as a registered or master barber in that state for at least the preceding calendar year. A letter of certification from the state board in that state is also required as well as a negative tuberculosis test and proof of completion of the ninth grade or above. Once the above information has been sent in with the proper fee, it will be reviewed for licensure.
