How To Apply For A License

Once the required training is completed, a person can contact our office for an application for the examination. The application needs to be completed and returned with a transcript of the total number of hours completed as well as a negative tuberculosis test and the required fee.

If a person is licensed and working as a registered/master barber in another state for at least the preceding calendar year, they could apply to become licensed through reciprocity.

If a person is currently licensed as a South Carolina cosmetologist, they may apply for the crossover examination as long as they have been licensed for two years.
