South Carolina Payment of wages and child labor laws are administered by the wages and child labor section in the S.C. Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. In the fiscal year 2010 the office investigated 969 wage complaints and cited 1,362 violations. The office also investigated 30 child labor complaints which resulted in 15 citations issued.
